Celebration of Life – Georgian Dance and Music

per person

There is one thing Georgians are proud of – folk music and traditional dances. If you want to look into the soul of county and its people, you need to listen to a Georgian folk music and enjoy watching Georgian dances.

Georgia’s polyphonic music is world-famous and calls upon a charming mixture of ancient and modern harmonies, which did not change its unique style for centuries. In 2001, UNESCO acknowledged this music as “a masterpiece of the world’s intangible cultural heritage”. You will be able to hear music in churches and monasteries across the country, in Tbilisi’s streets or across the village fields during the summer. It is also one of the main parts of the Georgian feast, or supra. Perhaps the most well-known example of Georgian music is the patriotic “Chakrulo”, which was chosen to accompany the Voyager spacecraft in 1977.
